Learning Policy & Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 July 2026 · Please read carefully — you agree to this Policy when creating an account.

1. Acceptance of this Policy

By creating an account, accessing, or using Alif Academy (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by this Learning Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you accept on behalf of a child or student, you represent that you are their parent, legal guardian, or authorised teacher and that you accept this Policy on their behalf.

2. Educational purpose only

The Service provides interactive lessons for learning Arabic reading and Qur’anic studies. Content is offered for general educational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy and review our material carefully, we do not warrant that all content is free of errors, and the Service is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher or scholar.

3. Accounts, activation and accuracy

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, including a valid email address and phone number used for account activation, password reset, security notices and billing communications. Accounts become active only after the activation link we send is followed. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Children and student accounts

Child and student accounts must be created and managed by a parent, legal guardian or authorised teacher (a “Guardian”). The Guardian is responsible for the learner’s use of the Service, for the accuracy of information provided about the learner, and for obtaining any consent required by applicable law (including parental-consent requirements for the collection of children’s data). If a Guardian account is deactivated or deleted, retained learner accounts must maintain their own valid contact details to continue using the Service.

5. Subscriptions, billing and refunds

Certain modules are free; others require a paid subscription (monthly or yearly). Prices, discounts and free modules are shown before purchase and may change with notice. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers. Unless required otherwise by applicable law, subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable for partial periods; cancelling stops future renewals. Student discounts may require verification.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the Service; attempt to access other users’ accounts or data; upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content; reverse engineer, scrape or copy the Service or its content except as permitted by law; or use the Service in violation of applicable laws. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its lessons, audio, design, software and trademarks, is owned by Alif Academy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning. Qur’anic text and recitations are provided with reverence and remain subject to their respective licences.

8. Privacy and communications

We process personal data (such as names, contact details, progress and usage data) to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. With your consent, we send notifications and alerts (progress updates, reminders, billing notices) by email and/or SMS; transactional messages necessary to operate your account (such as activation links, password resets and billing receipts) are sent regardless of marketing preferences. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time in your profile.

9. Availability, changes and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deactivated accounts cannot sign in until reactivated. Upon deletion, data is removed or anonymised except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALIF ACADEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. Nothing in this Policy excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing affects statutory consumer rights.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alif Academy, its officers, employees and partners from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of this Policy or misuse of the Service.

12. Governing law and contact

This Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Alif Academy is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Questions about this Policy: support@langhawks.com.
